Automatic Coffee Maker

Since giving up sugar and all other high glycemic sweeteners it hasn’t been easy finding a simple syrup that I love. I always end up making something at home. I have tried in the past to make a simple syrup with erythritol but I failed and never cared to retry… until… The second I saw Gordon, Moderator of Adapting to Keto Facebook Group, share The Urban Cowgirl’s video on how to make simple syrup with erythritol (and it NOT crystallizing), I had to click.

I am a LOVER of coffee and even more so with some pink Himalayan salt in it. I figured what a great idea it would be to add some solé water or pink salt to the mix. The saltiness will accentuate the flavor and sweetness of the simple syrup.

Solé
Just wanted to mention I probably should have used a glass measure for the solé water and not my stainless steel. I have heard this chan change the ions or effect of solé but I am really just using it for flavor.

RECIPE
#Keto Simple Syrup + Electrolytes

Ingredients
2 cups water
1/2 cup granulated erythritol and stevia blend.
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon xanthin gum (for thickening)
1 tablespoon solé water (2 Tbs for us who like things more salty)

Directions
Put all ingredients into a cold sauce pot and bring to a boil. Dissolve all sweetener and salt (if granulated pink salt was used in place of the solé water).
Remove from heat once everything is liquified and strain into a measuring cup with a spout.
Let the syrup cool at room temperature then bottle up in a glass bottle.
