Its better to use bottomless portafilter to extract fresh bean with real crema, the aroma is much more complex and espresso really taste better Pressurized portafilter is suitable for not so fresh bean, its still able to create artificial crema and make the coffee taste drinkable.
Descaling my Delonghi Dedica. If the steam light is flashing orange, the appliance needs descaling. Lime from the water can clog up the heater, and make repairs unsustainable. I used the Delonghi Eco Decalk mini descaling fluid, that contains lactic acid. Danger, read the instructions before using. The fluid can splash and cause serious eye damage and skin irritation.
