Side-by-Side Cuisinart Burr Coffee Grinder Comparison

In this video I demonstrate a side by side comparison of my 2 Cuisinart coffee grinders. The DBM-8 which has flat, ceramic style burrs, and the CBM-18 which has stainless steel conical shaped burrs. Both grinders do a nice, consistent job of grinding coffee. There are a few differences, ie: the DBM-8’s flat burrs tend to spin faster and create more heat while grinding which can affect the delicate flavor molecules. The CBM-18’s steel conical burrs spin more slowly which create less heat, preserving more of the flavor molecules. I hope this video is helpful to anyone shopping for a new coffee grinder and may be considering a Cuisinart model.
