“Dosa is a traditional South Indian crepe made from a naturally fermented batter of rice and lentils. It’s thin, crispy, and savory — typically served with chutney or lentil stew (called sambar).”

In this video, I test the Hamilton Beach Professional Series Blender/Grinder (Model 58770) by making dosa batter — a traditional thin pancake made from fermented rice and lentils.

This is the first time I’m using the blender since the unboxing. I wanted to see if it’s powerful enough to handle thick, wet grinding for recipes like dosa or idli — which need a smooth, airy batter.

▶️ What you’ll see in this video:

Preparing soaked rice and lentils

Using the large wet grinding jar

Running the blender at different speeds

Final batter texture results

Thoughts on noise, motor power, and ease of use

🎯 Goal: To test if it can replace traditional wet grinders for home cooking
