Automatic Coffee Maker

Today I’m showing off an interesting profile that I love called the Sprover. The Sprover / Spro-over is a fast flowing long ratio profile that allows you to create a filter style drink using your espresso machine. I go over the profile parameters and pull an example sprover and discuss the differences between the sprover and other types of drinks in this video. Just keep in mind the machine, roast level, grinder, and temperature you pull at. Overall a super fun way to get into pour-over-style coffee (an actual drink lol, clarity, filter coffee). If you like this style of drink you will like pour-overs.

General Sprover Parameters:
Light roast coffee
1:12+
Coarse grind size (depending on headspace, but you can go SUPER coarse like v60 even)
40-60 seconds
Fast flow rate (I like 4.5ml/s)
Drop temp if needed
Keep pressure under 1.5 bar
I urge you to experiment and play around with this profile. It’s super fun to pull this drink!
