New drinking game: taking a shot every time I say ‘umm’
Today we take a look at a snazzy new coffee product. https://jot.co/
TRY IT

TL:DR – At 20x concentration, you’d expect overextraction – but instead, it was pretty sour. In a normal brew, that would mean the coffee could be underextracted, but I don’t know what that means for Ultra Coffee. For their current batches, expect a sharp, acidic, bright taste of lime, lemon and watermelon that carries through to softer notes of cocoa. I might recommend a slightly more developed roast in their coffee to help tune those extraction levels.

Pros:
Less waste (think about wasted beans, wasted coffee, wasted grounds)
Easy to make
Fast coffee is fast
Easy to pour
Keeps well
Multifunctional
Pretty glass bottle

Cons:
Seemed underextracted cause it was v v sour
Not as portable when compared to Instant Coffee
Y so much cardboard
Spoon is disappointingly low-quality, just make me a high-quality cupping spoon with which to measure my fancy Ultra Coffee
Isn’t for boring people (like me)
Srsly if you’re boring stay away
A bit expensive for first time users but is less-so for subscribers and order quantities over 1 bottle
They say you could mix it with espresso on their website and that kind of triggers me
