Bunn Velocity setup. This video will show you how to set up a brand new Bunn Velocity 10 cup coffee maker. Here is the Step by step – setting up the Bunn Velocity 10 cups for the very first time!.
*Don’t forget to Rinse/Wash the carafe!
1. Important! DO NOT plug The Bunn coffee maker yet until you fill the water tank aka reservoir with 2 carafes full of water! After emptying the first carafe of water, close the lid. Closing the LID will allow the water to enter the water tank – reservoir. Fill the carafe with water again. Lift the lid and fill it with the second carafe of water.
2. DO NOT PLUG the Bunn Coffee make yet! Now, Place the carafe to it’s brewing position (under the shower). Then close the lid one more time! This will now eliminate the excess water from your tank! Once the excess water has been eliminated ) about 4 to 6 cups of water… see step 3 below.
3. You can now plug and power up your Bunn coffee maker!
4. Let the Bunn coffee maker heat up the water to 195 to 205 degrees. You will hear it quiet down after 25 minutes to 1 hour. Once it quiets down… it is now ready to brew coffee!
5. Fill the carafe with the appropriate amount of water. In this video, we wanted 8 cups of coffee. So we added 2 more cups of water to the excess of 6 cups of water during the tank fill up!
6. Brewing takes about 4 minutes to 5 minutes.
*It is fast because there is already HOT water in the tank!

This video is actually part of a bigger video file. The Bunn Velocity vs Bonavita Coffee maker.
That video is about finding the best coffee maker for our travel trailer.
Requirements:
1. The coffee maker must be able to give us a water temperature between 195 degrees to 205 degrees. *If you do not know about water temp and brewing coffee… google: “What is the proper temp for brewing coffee?”
2. The coffee maker must be able to run on 3000 watts inverter pure sine and a 140 amp hours battery bank!
We found that coffee maker just below 14000 watts would fit our requirements.

Note For RVers or Campers: This Bunn Velocity draws 53 amps (peak at 70 amps) during heating up of the water. 25 minutes to 1 hour. My Travel trailer has 3000 watts inverter pure sine and a 140 AH battery bank.
