Having the BALLS to chase your big dream | Ava Marie Bunn | TEDxYouth@SanDiego
Typecast as the perfect, well-rounded American teen, Ava Marie Bunn added shock-value to the mix and adopted the acronym BALLS (Believe, Achieve, Listen, Learn, Support) to pursue her big dream of a career in comedy. It wasn't easy, as chasing her big dream made other people uncomfortable, but it also inspired some to chase their own. Her advice is to stop developing a Plan B as it's putting energy in the wrong direction. Rather than having something to fall back on, fail forward and pursue your big dream. Keep your Plan A alive by holding space for it to survive, and double-down on what you really want to achieve. Ava is a student at Point Loma High School. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
