Coleman Propane Coffee Maker 5 Year Review
Hey Guys, I'm doing a quick video about my Coleman coffee make that i have had for 5 years. Its seen its fair share of abuse but still runs great. I have no affiliation with Coleman. No issues but as you can see it has a little rust on it. I've never had a problem starting it with its own ignitor. Just press the button once the propane is on and it fires up. You can also use a barbq lighter to start if the ignitor doesn't work.
I already filled up the pot and now just fill up the reservoir on the back of the unit. I usually use regular coffee and coffee filter, but in this case I just use a pre packaged individual coffee bag similar to a tea bag.
I just turn the regulator on to low and then press the ignitor button at the back. I turn on the propane to high and then in 12 minutes I have a hot pot of coffee.
I use this coffee pot even when i am plugged into shore power. Its just easier than having another coffee pot to store. My biggest issue with the coffee pot is that the pot is not insulated. But, I just turn the propane on low and let it stay warm until I'm finished having my morning coffee.
I didn't mention in the video, but I store the coffee make on its side in a rubbermaid bin. Thats the nice thing about having the stainless steel pot instead of glass.
Thanks,
