'Come one, come all' and see 50+ shows at the Hamilton Fringe Festival
The 21st Fringe Festival has begun in Hamilton.
Over the next two weeks there will be over 50+ shows performed at 11 stages across the city, including Theatre Aquarius.
Emily Vukovic talked to people from just four of the 350+ performances of theatre, music, dance and family friendly shows.
One of the performances you can see is 'Roller Rinks and Sugary Drinks' is a show about what it means to feel beautiful as a brown woman in the west and discusses important topics. It's on at the Players' Guild of Hamilton. Or take the kids to 'The Story Wizards' where they have the chance to see their stories come alive on stage.
Two other shows you can take in is 'A Perfect Bowl of Pho' written by Nam Nguyen is about the history of Vietnamese food and how it spread throughout the world in the 20th century, and 'For Your Entertainment' written, directed and performed by Angelica Reid, that explores the rabbit hole of social media and how it affects the mind.
The Hamilton Fringe Festival is on now until July 30th. You can get tickets at Theatre Aquarius or online and no ticket is over $12.
