In today’s video I’m comparing a $500 espresso machine (the Gaggia Classic Pro 2020) and a $1750 espresso machine (the Rocket Appartamento Nera). Which one is the right one for you?
TLDW? The Gaggia is a great machine for entry level learning, with a ton of online support if needed. It can definitely make a cappuccino or two but might take too long if you had to do anymore than that. The Rocket is a prosumer machine capable of back to back milk drinks with its beast steam power. Pick the Gaggia if its just for you (or you and a plus one), and pick the Rocket (or other prosumer machine) if you have a tendency to upgrade or need to make multiple milk drinks back to back. Keep in mind to budget for a grinder that will easily run you an additional $250 or more (and accessories like a tamper, knockbox, and pitcher).
