Is the descaling light illuminated on your Keurig? Or has it been a while since you last cleaned it? To eliminate deposits of calcium and keep your coffee maker working its best, Agent Bennett descale and clean it regularly—every 3 to 6 months. Here she shows you how to do it, step by step. To get started, you’ll need a few things: Keurig descaling solution and rinse pods, dish soap, a coffee mug, fresh non-distilled water, a paperclip, non-abrasive cloths, non-vinegar glass cleaner, paper towels and replacement filter cartridges.

If you’d like to skip ahead:

Starting the descaling process: 1:02
Replacing the water filter cartridge: 2:23
Cleaning the parts inside the Keurig: 3:00
General cleaning of the Keurig: 4:08
How to use a rinse pod: 4:52
