I like this Hamilton Beach 1.7L Variable Temp Kettle for the following reasons: It is stainless steel which helps with easy cleaning and lasts longer. It heats water very quickly and has an automatic shut off feature, cord wraps, it has a window for you to see your water level with blue LED lights, there are options for variable temperature settings as each tea comes with instructions to be made with it’s own temperature setting. I noticed that I get the most benefit out of my teas when I use the recommended temperature to brew them. There are six touch temperature settings for this kettle – 160F delicate, 175F green teas, 180F white teas, 190F Oolong teas, 200F french press and a boil/black tea setting. My favorite setting is the keep warm setting which keeps your water warm for an additional 30minutes. All you have to do is push a button and it boils to the temperature needed. This kettle has a retractable wire base.

Tips:
1. Always read the instructions provided with the kettle before use.
2. Unplug the kettle the outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
3. Do not immerse in water.
4. Only use for boiling water and no other liquids should be poured in.
5. It has a removable anti-scale mesh filter inside the spout of the kettle.
6. My favorite feature is the “Keep Warm” feature that will keep your water warm.
7. Another favorite setting is the variable temperature setting. Each bag/box of tea comes with recommended temperature of the water to get maximum benefits from your teas, etc.
8. Boils up to 1.7 liters
9. Before first use, fill kettle to the max line at 1.7/max level. Boil the water by pressing start and repeat this process 2 to 3 times.
