I actually didn’t know this product existed until Ellen got it for me for Christmas. Now I couldn’t live without it.

So, we’ve got a tank here on the back that we fill with water based on how much coffee we want.

Your chemex is going to sit here, on this hot plate. I loved my chemex for years but was sad when my second cup of coffee would be cold. Problem solved.

When we flip this switch, the water is going to heat to 200 degrees, then release a pulse of water that lets the coffee bloom.

The whole point here is that the Ottomatic is mimicking the motion of a traditional pour over.

Once the coffees had time to bloom, water continues to pulse, thus creating a dang good cup of coffee, hands free.
