Today I’m cooking the egg McMuffin on the Hamilton Beach breakfast sandwich maker.
Shopping List:
1 English Muffin
1 slice American cheese (use a 3 1/4 inch rimmed glass or cookie cutter to form a round shape)
1 slice Canadian Bacon
1 large egg
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Pre-heat the unit. Make sure the slide-out section is in the closed position. The light will turn green when ready to cook. About 5-10 minutes.
When pre-heated, open the middle section to expose the bottom cooking tray. Place the bottom muffin onto the tray and top with the cheese first then the slice of Canadian bacon. Close the middle section. Crack the egg into the closed slide-out egg cooker tray, break the yolk with a non metal object, season with salt and pepper then place the top muffin on top of the egg, close the top and cook for 4-5 minutes. You can also beat the egg in a bowl for a scrambled egg.
When done, open the top lid and slide the egg tray to the open position causing the top muffin and egg to drop on top of the slice of ham. Lift out the Sandwich with a non-metal spatula and enjoy.
