Do you have access to the Bonavita or Melitta coffee makers? If so, they’re
my favorite under $200 – Kat
Hey, UK Coffee drinker here looking to buy my first Coffee Machine. Which
is the best option under £100 ($200)?
@kragier Hahahaha – sacrilege bringing that up around these parts! 😉 – Kat
@thePowerPlant We did try them at SCAA in the spring and they were pretty
rad 🙂 They are on the roster for research/testing for the new year, so
stay tuned. Agree on the kMix assessment – Kat
Have you guys gotten a response on technovoim BPA issue ?
could i put hot chocolate in there i think it would be good and make good
coco
@cpettifer Cool!
Will you guys get a review unit for the new hotness (AKA the Bonavita
coffee machines) soon??? I hear they are just as good as the Technivorms.
KMix is cool, but it would seem that function follows form on this one.
would you be ablel to do a reviw on a fully aruto exspreso mishen and show
us how its done!
i have this exact same machine but its kenwood on the front and not
delonghi?? confusing!
No – never did … sorry 🙁 – Kat
haha, at around 2:06 when she said, “This is twilight,” I was thinking,
“what does coffee have to do with a novel about vampire romance?” It took
me a second to realize she was actually talking about the coffee. I felt so
silly 🙂
Thanks give that all information about coffee & machine all the year and
doing well keep going Happy New Year.
@mingsum You’re welcome! Thank you for watching 🙂 Happy New Year to you,
as well! – Kat
Yeah – there are several rebrandings of these machines in different parts
of the world, or so I hear 🙂 – Kat
Hey Kat, did you ever try the paper filter and if so did it make a
difference? Thanks.
@billaras41 Thank you!! And thank you for watching 🙂 Hope you have an
awesome 2012! – Kat
@MrAlfa1600 I would personally do a shorter brew on the Technivorm – Kat
@Malangsufi Not sure, we were unable to measure this effectively – Kat
what temperature does it reach when the extraction begins?
2. The second run through I just left it to do it’s thing. I checked it
half way through to see if the coffee had pitted and it was actually
looking pretty nice. The ground coffee was nicely saturated with water, so
I think it was brewing nicely. Perhaps the thickness of the filters may be
a good way to alter how much brewing goes on with this machine. It’s a
lovely size and looks good. We used slightly more coffee than recommended
and were pleased with the strength of the cup. 🙂
Hello! A friend of mine was just given this as a house warming present, so
I made a couple of lots of coffee with it, including some experimentation.
1. Removing the jug with it turned on does mean the coffee has a brief
amount of brewing time, before you have to put the jug in place to stop it
overflowing, however, the rush of coffee when you replace the jug produces
a pit in the filter, which need re-positioning before you can continue to
brew. So overall this is a bad idea.
@truebenny77 Technivorm says their models do not have BPA in them – Kat
happy new year girls!!! thank you for all your efforts to create this great
videos!! for sure you giving us a lot of help for our coffee!! enjoy your
new year and wish you all the best for the 2012!!!!!
@runupscape Hmmmm…I don’t think it would work well, but not sure 🙂 – Kat
