good machine
The “Finum brewing basket” is a good option for backpackers. It is compact,
lightweight and the coffee can be prepared directly in the mug.

i have diy-ed my ultra-lite maker using cheese cloth and sewed a large tea
bag-works great and u can re-use it buy rinsing it out! happy trails
From my perspective I see several coffee makers, a dish washer, a food
processor and nocturnal joy device. Only if it was quieter.
You are hot!
Any reason why you think that the taste of the GSI thing results in a big
flavor compared to the others? Just got one for a camping trip. Thanks!
I use that Melitta to make coffee at home everyday. I love it. You don’t
waste coffee because you only brew what you are going to drink and it only
takes like 2 or 3 minutes to make a good cup of coffee. It’s kinda hard to
pack in your bag though because it has an odd shape but if you get creative
you can make it work. Plus its only like $5.
I got an REI little cup with gold screen around it that is a lot smaller
than any of those and works really well but it’s $15.00. I forgot the name
of it.
