Gail walks us through a few different entry level grinders, discussing features and functionality. Then she compares their grind consistency and how well they perform using an Aeropress preparation. This video covers the following models:

– Capresso Cool Grind (http://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/capresso-cool-grind-coffee-and-spice-grinder-black-or-stainless-steel)
– Capresso Burr Coffee Grinder #559 (http://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/capresso-burr-coffee-grinder-559)
– Capresso Infinity (http://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/capresso-infinity-conical-burr-grinder)

Freddie Slaughter says:

I have the Cuisinart Conical Burr Grinder, how do you keep coffee from sticking to the side of the plastic container?

Freddie Slaughter says:

They say the grinders that are very fast, tend to heat up the the coffee so less flavor. The grinders that grind at a slower speed are much better for grinding. Can you comment on this and also tell me what is your favorite grinder?

desertjewal says:

I just saw the Breville conical is that one a better choice in the infinity? What I'm hearing about the infinity is that it has static problems. But I do like that it's quiet. Is the Breville loud? And heating the beans. I don't want it to heat the coffee.

sbatt025 says:

Can you please tell me if the Capresso Infinity grinder is good for pretty serious espresso? I'm looking for a grinder to mate with the Breville Infuser and looking for some great shots for my money.

Carl Rudd says:

Interesting, but slightly unfocused. I'm used to videos that get right to the point.

Chuck Eckerson says:

Thanks for the video.  I am curious: what grind setting did you select on the Capresso Infinity and the Baratza Encore?  Also, how would you compare these two grinders for use with 1) a French Press, and 2) an espresso machine with a pressurized portafilter (e.g. Delonghi Bar32)? Does one perform better than the other? Thanks!

MinNyeAccount says:

Did you check water temperature and brewing time on each brew ?

jon sarmiento says:

Hi, I currently use a cuisinart supreme flat burr grinder and I think the level is somewhat similar to the ones you reviewed here. Will upgrading to a breville conical smart grinder be an upgrade for me? This is for home use and will be grinding for an entry level espressione minuetto pressurized machine.

Richard Luciano says:

Bought an Infinity thanks to your vid, but it sure is a pain to clean. Should I have purchased an Encore? The Infinity's chamber collects a large volume of grinds rather than expelling them well. This is especially problematic for those whom have decaf often because you cannot skip cleaning the Infinity between regular and decaf. It also is a pain because you can't have truly fresh coffee w/o a lengthy cleaning.

amanieux says:

hi, just curious why didn't you did a blind test ?
