Thank you for making this video!

Roel van Deventer says:

How does this machine compare to the Gaggia classic? Does it also have
heating elements imbedded in the boiler?

Whole Latte Love says:

The heating elements in the Color are not embedded in the boiler. They are
in contact with the water. For a detailed comparison of the two machines
you can use the compare-o-matic on our website.

I was wondering, what would be the best bottomless portafilter to purchase
for this Gaggia model? Is any 58mm bottomless portafilter acceptable?

georgestelea says:

this is the best low-price espresso machine !!!

Whole Latte Love says:

@Hyruleyou All the Gaggia semi automatics use a 50mm tamper.

dabs4lucifer says:

how do you brew only 1 shot? it seems like it will come out both sides

Peter Mills says:

@wholelattelovetv Thanks for reply, but i meant what size tamper to fit in
the PF basket (57-58mm etc) and would you recommend a Flat or Convex
Tamper?…thank you:)

Roz Sa says:

@Hyruleyou A convex metal tamper is best. it is also best to get one with a
handle that applies 30 bars of pressure. there are companies out there who
sell the handle and base seperately. definitely go for the convex with a
metal handle.

silversky123 says:

Is this a semi automatic machine? I want an espresso machine but I want to
do most of the work(grinding, tamping, frothing, and pulling the shot).
With these machine am I in charge? =D Thanks!

Whole Latte Love says:

@Hyruleyou The previous comment is actually wrong. The Gaggia semi
automatics have a 58 mm portafilter so you would use a 58mm tamper. Both a
convex or a flat tamper will work well. However there is a lot of talk
about which style tamper works better. To get a good tamp it will require a
bit of trial and error.

omicronflux93 says:

I do agree there is definitely stale coffee in the background, but it’s for
display purposes, and for people who make their own coffee at home it’s
often more practical to use pre-ground coffee, which in the UK is usually
vacuum-packed for freshness anyway

Roz Sa says:

Just to let you all know that if you are thinking of purchasing this
machine in the UK, it doesn’t come with the ECE pod.

Whole Latte Love says:

The best portafilter for this machine is the Gaggia bottomless portafilter
because it lines up with the brew group.

Whole Latte Love says:

@mindgames2889 Both machines have similar internal components. They both
feature a stainless steel 9 oz boiler. The biggest difference is the
exterior housing color.

James Hannah says:

I bought mine in the UK and it did come with the ECE pod!

Peter Mills says:

What size diameter tamper are you using for this machine?

omicronflux93 says:

@HusqvarnaRules that’s so rude, considering this is a domestic machine and
everything they say DOES match up with the description of these machines on
nearly every website related to them. The information is well put across
and easy to understand, a great video!

rikzz0r says:

@epicfatass in that case you put a different basket into the portafilter.

Whole Latte Love says:

Hi, thanks for the question! Yes, the Gaggia Espresso Color is a
semi-automatic espresso machine so you will be in charge 🙂 If you need any
assistance in finding a machine that suits all of your needs, give our
friendly sales staff a call at 1-888-411-5282 option 1.

Whole Latte Love says:

@epicfatass The espresso will come out the spout in both directions but the
stream will go into one cup. If you wanted to have only one spout you can
purchase a single spout and it will attach to the bottom of the portafiter.

Stefan Sigfinnsson says:

@omicronflux93 Ground coffee goes stale within 15 min from grinding. If you
grind some coffee and use it 2 days,3 days and up to week later you can see
the coffee goes fast through(shot takes shorter time) and the crema will be
less and white like Guinnes(not caramel brown like it should) and the shot
will not be drinkable. So fresh beans(3-15 days from roast) ground only
seconds before brewing is the way to go.

At 0:27 you show the brew group. What about the material of? Alluminium?

Whole Latte Love says:

@Hyruleyou All the Gaggia semi automatics use a 50mm tamper.
