Andrew Weaver says:

are illy’s the most expensive capsules on the market? seems like it.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Hahahaha …. well, we tested them when they first came out and didn’t dig
’em, but decided to give them another go after they released their Single
Origin coffees … definitely dig them now! 🙂 – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Well, there’s a much wider variety of capsules available from Nespresso,
but the body of these shots was actually a bit better than I’ve had on
them. Definitely better than an ESE pod IMHO – Kat

Steven Bird says:

Nice! My favourite everyday brand! Do they have a pod recycling programme?

davidlerital90 says:

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. – Kat

Nick Carey says:

How does the iper espresso compare with nespresso taste wise, I’ve got a
nespresso machine but find it not very full bodied or as strong as my
handpresso makes with ese pods.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Ideally, no; sour is indicative of under extraction and bitter is
indicative of over extraction. However, some coffees that have naturally
more acidity can also have ‘sour’ notes, depending on your taste buds. A
really well pulled shot of espresso is generally smooth and clean, with
different flavors depending on the type of bean, origin, processing and
roast. – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Yeah … but I think this machine is more oriented toward demitasse / shots
only so I suspect this was kind of an afterthought 😉 – Kat

SighMN says:

I don’t understand why everything about it is so tiny, but then they add
that huge cup warmer that makes it much larger! It looks really sexy
though, and those capsules look high tech for some reason!

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Muchas gracias!! 🙂 – Kat

MrAlligam says:

Looks like a new desktop from Apple — if you don’t like our software,

I just bought one of these to go with my collection of coffee machines,

Richard Gaunt says:

The best demonstrations of coffee machines on the net! No nonsense and very
informative! Well done girls 🙂

dynaco says:

love this machine (well the way it looks anyway; haven’t tried it) but the
adjustable plate for little of big cup/little cup is yuk, it wrecks the
design.

Eric Yee says:

I have tried espresso on many occasions. I adore espresso milk drinks but i
have never drunk a shot i liked. In a cafe, i had asked for an espresso but
when I tasted it it was very sour. It tasted as if i were drinking lemon
juice while inhaling the smell of coffee. Other people were drinking it as
if it was fine.At a demo I had tried a straight Nespresso Arpeggo that was
not nearly as sour but on the bitter side. Is this the way espresso tastes?

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

You know, I haven’t done a price compare… – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

I like that it could be a serious cup warming / storage situation. – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Thank you!! Glad you’re finding them helpful 🙂 – Kat
