I think that Jordan has kind of a sense of humor. You can sometimes see him
hiding a small smile when he answers some of Conan’s questions. For
example, 2:02 and 2:36.
When Conan pulls out the other coffee maker and jokes about the company
making lawn mower blades,, you can see him holding back laughter.
I’ve wanted this fetaure for a very long time, but why is there only one option? I already specify my CC licenses with the works I release, so YouTube expanding the ease of using CC is great. But plenty of my CC-licensed works I will not be able to put into YouTube’s CC system, because I specify something other than CC-BY. If I choose to use your CC-BY option for a video where I intended CC-BY-NC, CC-BY will effectively override the work’s intended license. Thus I can only choose “standard” when I don’t mind others using my work. 🙁

I think he’s a scripted character and you can see it best in this video. He
almost breaks character a couple of times because, let’s face it, Conan is
one funny motherlover.
If I were Conan I wouldn’t stay late at work for at least a week.. Yo just
don’t mess with a man’s coffee machine.
Unfortunately Conan is perpetuating bullying on some level, since it is
possible that people, especially children and teenagers, could misconstrue
this “bit” as an acceptable mode of conduct. A child easily could
misinterpret this, failing to see it for what it is, objectively: a comedic
sketch. The interpersonal conduct displayed in this skit–belittling
someone because you can get away with it–within the realm of comedy is
amusing. However, outside the realm of comedy it’s hurtful, and just
because it happens in reality, doesn’t make it correct. Having said this,
do I think it’s ethical to broadcast this skit? I’d have to say,
definitively, no.
