I mean the connection under the appia 1, right next to the waste water exit
my appia 1 is leaking from the water line connection. The part that
connects to the actual machine. am I not tightening the nut strong enough?
any suggestion?
do you have part # for gasket anti suction valve? thanks
Does the pressure for the group head come from the pump?
😀 Right back atcha! – Kat
Oh my so confusing
There is a pressure valve that you’ll hear as the machine heats up – Kat
Hahaha – it’s my new side business I guess? 😉 – Kat
Thanks. It was an interesting video. Have you done one of these on a more
simple machine?
The pump is rated at a certain pressure, yes, but the back pressure of your
coffee also will determine the final pressure at brew – Kat
I still love you, though. – Kat
Haha – well, we have actually hit that a few times because I have to age
content, so …. – Kat
Awesome!!! Glad we could help keep your machine in tip-top shape 🙂 – Kat
He sure does 😀 – Kat
thank you again, because of this video, my Musica has been rescued from
sucking the milk to boiler 🙂 my anti suction valve was making that sound
and I send it to repair and they confirm it need replace, thank you again 🙂
Thank you, but I have question please 🙂 I have Musica, and my anti-suction
valve make that sound only once after I tune it one like 2 mints before it
start to get hot, I thought this is how the air go out of the boiler now I
am confuse, should be make sound once or shouldn’t make any sound at all
Glen you took my moment of glory….
Great to hear! Glad it was a quick and relatively easy fix 🙂 I love the
Musica – Kat
Thanks for that great video of a machine’s internals! Heard that hissing of
the anti suction valve today and talked to my boss. Well, she’s very
pleased to know about the consequences. I’m going to replace it tomorrow!
Ah, shoot – didn’t do my job, then! – Kat
That’s it, I’m saving up until they release a Cat Cackler 5000, and
differentiate between models by adding Meows. So maybe I’ll save for a Cat
Cackler 5000:Meow Meow
Brandon, u know ur stuff!
Yes – check out our series on E61 machines with Bill Crossland. We also
show a lot of the insides of machines (if they are easy to access) in our
crew reviews. – Kat
