Love the video! Tks! :D

CortadoDoble says:

Just wanted to say, this video made me buy one, thanks^^
I’m loving this machine.

Greetings from Argentina.

Kammaflaje says:

Well the “dubbleshot” as you call is accturly normal coffie and the smal
coffie cup button is expresso. Thats why i got one becouse its not only a
expresso machine. 🙂
Not allways you want expesso. Normal coffie is awesome aswell

Diogo David Lima says:

Hello +Seattle Coffee Gear Wich is the best setup of the grinder to have a
good espresso? I’m trying to have one and it’s not so easy to setup.

Aleksander Gustyn says:

Luv Ya Ladyzz!!

Vincent Chan says:

I bought one of these machines since so many of your staff like this as a
home machine, and I’m loving it so far! I was wondering if you guys had
played with using the wand sans panarello to froth/steam milk the
traditional way and what you thought of it. (Is it just not worth trying to
learn on the naked wand on this machine?)

Also, I’m moving to Seattle this year, so I’m looking forward to being in
your (physical) store!

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

You’re welcome! Really glad we were able to help you find the right machine
for you 🙂 – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

No – this doesn’t have a bi-pass doser for pre-ground coffee, you can only
use whole bean coffee in this guy. – Kat

Robert Farrugia says:

I love you guys 😀

noahf75 says:

Seriously thinking this or the Syntia SS?!?! Only because we have 13 inch
counter clearance. Help!!! 🙂

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Crema is all about the coffee; superautos tend to have consistently okay
shots, whereas semi-autos will rely more on your skill to consistently
create good shots 🙂 – Kat

Marine475 says:

I’d go for this one. It is one of most reliable machines on the market. I
have two one is two years old and the other is one year old both work
without any issues. Syntia on the other can be quite unreliable.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Steaming is going to be loud, period, if you’re using a wand, etc. All
grinders are similarly loud, too. We did a comparison of grinder noise and
it’s difficult to translate via videos … they all have very similar noise
levels IMHO – Kat

henri Henry says:

just spoke to philips and they confirmed… its a typo 😉 they will correct
it, its a heritage mistake form the old saeco era, you can turn the knob in
machine standbye

ShaddyMcDaddy says:

Thats the one I want. Just have to wait one more month.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Oh cool!!! Thank you for sharing that with us 🙂 – Kat

Nanko Rusev says:

Gail, Kat, thanks for the review! I have an Xsmall – here are some
questions 🙂 + What setting should I use for the grinder, or does it depend
on the coffee used? I currently have it set at the “finest” one + The
coffee package says it should be prepared for 25 seconds for 30 ml shot.
However, my coffee maker does it way faster – it takes less than 10 seconds
for 30ml shot. I think it doesn’t extract it enough, and it doesn’t have
“body”. Can I do something? Thank you!

Corina Z says:

can I use already grinded coffee?

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Yes, includes the bean hopper in the height. As far as durability is
concerned, the Syntia may have a longer life as it has the stainless cover
vs. all plastic on this guy. But this one is a new machine to us so overall
longevity is unknown right now. Care and maintenance for both is similar –
cleaning the brew group regularly, descaling regularly. – Kat

Diogo David Lima says:

thanks for the review. I live in Brazil and the review really help me to
choice the best machine to my home.

Alvaro Rivera says:

Have you tested La Pavoni Domus Bar?

Correct Horse Battery Staple says:

Oh wow that’s crazy small. Would be perfect for apartments.

arkasza2007 says:

I thought about buying this machine but when I saw this panarello
steamer… I prefered not to comment 🙂

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Awesome! Great to hear 🙂 – Kat

henri Henry says:

thanks gig103, philips saids it is wrong statement in manual anyway, SO -do
NOT turn the knob while the grinder is working- older saeco machines have a
magnetic sensor anyway, so they dont work when the lid is removed, the
small black bean cover inside, is only there 2 help the beans get into the
grinder.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Thank you! – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Ho ho ho! 😉 – Kat

henri Henry says:

have you read the manual, what do they mean by? “The grinder adjustment
knob, inside the coffee bean hopper, must be turned ONLY when the ceramic
coffee grinder IS WORKING.” thats a weird disclaimer, its impossible to do
that, since you have to remove the lid and then the machine can not work
…!!!

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

So sorry! I”m experimenting with different processing stuff … maybe the
newer videos will be better for you. – Kat

PlanetFabulous says:

Are you gonna carry the Krups Twin Thermoblack machine in your store?
amazon.com/XP618050-Stainless-Thermoblock-Espresso-Machine/dp/B007A2KWEA

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

No – we only carry the small home lever machines of the LP – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Hee 😉 – Kat

ShaddyMcDaddy says:

Sold, christmas comes early at my place.

mathieu traas says:

i have a delonghi superauto and when i want to froth milk my machine is not
black anymore but white… i have to get that roll under controll!!

supergage102 says:

I love your reviews but get motion sick trying to watch them!!

Nanko Rusev says:

Thank you Kat! 🙂

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Hahahaha …. yeah, well, panarellos are the way of the world with some of
these machines, sadly. They can’t really get enough steam power for folks
to traditionally froth easily, so I think the MFR have implemented
panarellos to decrease customer dissatisfaction … who knows 😉 -Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Totally! – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

We didn’t like it the first round of testing so we didn’t bring it in …
we’re going to take another shot at it in December and, if we decide to
carry, will make a video. – Kat

Terry Liu says:

How is the quality of the shots? Does it have good crema? I’m ready to get
a new machine, but is debating between this or the semi-automatics. Thank
you! And Happy New Year!

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

I believe we have this in to test to determine whether or not to carry …
we have several Krups models we’re currently assessing 🙂 – Kat

henri Henry says:

yeah, only one tiny problem… the noise. you can not grind or steam early
in the morings if you have thin walls or live in close spaces. that def a
issue most automatics have improve on, they are way too loud, well the
budget types anyway, i would love to see a decibel comparison, witch
machine’s are the most quit. ?

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Thanks for sharing your experiences with it! 🙂 – Kat

sasko1811 says:

hee Gail and Kat, We got the XSmall black at the office. It works nicely. 1
comment to your review. at 6.55 Gail indicates that it doesn’t when you
brew a double shot. No, it doesn’t flash but the green light on the left of
the big knob turns on. Then you can see it will brew twice. Just wanted you
to know

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Rowdy!! 😀 It will take time, but you’ll get there grasshopper 😉 – Kat

Nick Carey says:

Great review as always guys! I look forward to watching the latest video
each day 🙂 I’ve just noticed Bodum has brought out a new coffee maker the
Bodum Bistro filter machine, would be great if you could review one? was
thinking of getting one for xmas.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Hmmmm….well, Syntia SS has stainless finish case and also a bi-pass doser
for preground coffee … if you need that function, then that is your
choice 🙂 – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

We have it at 100 bucks off through Monday …. 😉 – Kat
