I just bought this and was happily surprised to find that capresso now
gives you a much thinner drip tray. They must have realized how that drip
tray limited the size of the cup.
This gives me the best coffee the way I want it every single time. Unlike
the Team GS it has replaced which was really neat at first but that didn’t
last long.
Coffee a la cart + infinity grinder = a perfect cup every time.๏ปฟ

The Original Rachel Ray Zill says:

The flaws I see in this machine is the basket that holds the coffee/tea
grounds and the cup height problem being the worst of the two. Really
stupid!
First,The basket: It has a far to limited size for me. I use far more
coffee grounds to make six cups of coffee than it will hold.
Second, is how it makes tea. Tea needs to be allowed to simmer in hot
water and this unit simply runs hot water through the tea. NOT a good way
to brew tea. Or you have to use two or three times to amount of tea/bags
to get the same results. WHAT?? A waste of tea.
I miss my old Capresso grind and flop to the left machine and havnt found
anything as user friendly. The machines with blinders that chop coffee
into fine dust suck and require daily cleaning. My old Capresso machine
allowed me to grind the coffee with the same fine, medium or course grind
everytime. It worked much better. I never had to clean the grinder ir the
shoot the coffee grounds went to and it always made great strong coffee. ๏ปฟ

SighMN says:

I would really be interested in you measuring the temperatures of the water
that come out of machines like this. I think part of the quality of good
coffee machines like the Technivorm is that it regulates temperature really
strictly and accurately using superior heating elements.

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Didn’t do any harm in this round — the tea was quite lovely ๐Ÿ™‚ – Kat

Eugene Ladyzhenskiy says:

having no control over steep time and temperature is a no go for brewing
good tea.

Any plans for shipping to Canada in the future?

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

You can see from our video that there’s not much room for the height of the
cup … I’m thinking less than 4 inches. – Kat

diane crowley says:

how much clearance is there for a cup…what’s the max height that the cup
can be?

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

We do ship a ton of accessories internationally but are unable to ship the
majority of our machines outside of the US. Sorry! – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

There are only a few models that do this — through their heating elements
and also through their functionality. Technivorm, YouBrew and Brazen all do
a temperature management throughout the brew cycle; no other models do
that. It’s pretty safe to say that if it’s not these models, they’re not
using that kind of functionality. – Kat

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Hahahaha – yeah ๐Ÿ˜‰ – Kat

Gary Gentile says:

Where do I get one of those cow cups? Do you sell those?

Eugene Ladyzhenskiy says:

Have to try that tea blend you used. BTW, love the videos. They are both
entertaining and informative.

theoharis2000 says:

Well, you can take the grate of,put the cup on the drip tray, slide it back
in position and when you are done brewin’,slide it of.I think that this is
better than doing a hole carafe!!!!

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

Pick one up! – Kat

Dylan Akre says:

With all that tea you put in there you should be able to re-steep it and
get at least another cup or two out of those leaves =) Although it wont be
as strong as the first “Gail strength” cup ;p

Seattle Coffee Gear says:

It’s plastic and mesh in the bottom of the filter. The coffee was good —
maybe not the best, definitely a drip coffee, but better than a lot I’ve
tasted. – Kat
