That was a very good review. I have the mr coffee grinder that you displayed and is a good durable blade grinder. It's great for expresso. You will get a bitter flavor if you are using a French press. Time for a burr grinder. Thanks again for your review.

Another big difference between burr grinders and blade models, that you didn't mention, is that blade grinders create a lot of friction which in turn creates more heat. Heat will damage the delicate flavor compounds in your coffee beans. And here's a tip when using your burr grinder, if you want to adjust or change the grind size, and there are beans in the hopper, you should only do it while the machine is running. Turning the adjustment back and forth while the hopper is full can damage your burrs or throw off the alignment of them if there are beans in between them when the motor is stopped.
